This application is live again, BT Jenkins have now responded to the Regulation 25 request by Devon County Council. There is a 30 day window from June 12th to submit any new comments based on the revised documents (all dated 10/06/2024) Any previous submissions to this specific application will still be included in the planning application, but certain points may need updating based on the updated information provided by BT Jenkins. The closing date seems to be quite fluid, please just try to submit your comments as soon as possible.

The application has had various extensions and is now due to be determined by DCC on ????. Please submit your comments ASAP.

A new application has been submitted to Devon County council for planning permission and was valid from 25/07/2023.

The Regulation 25 Request for Further Information has now been met with the submission of new/ammended information, so the Planning Application is Live again.

The application number is DCC/4337/2023.

It originally expired on 02/09/2023, but the applicant has applied for an extension until Feb 2024, which was followed by a Regulation 25 Request by Devon County Council which paused the Application until June 12th 2024

All the comments submitted about this application to date will still be taken into account by Devon County Council, but it is important that the new/ammended information is also commented on.

Neighbourhood Development Plan

The preparation of a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the parish of Kenn is well under way.

When completed, The Kenn Parish Neighbourhood Plan will shape and reflect the aspirations of residents on how the parish evolves and progresses over the next twenty years.

We are now in the process of analysing the results of the questionnaire.

Overweight HGV's

7.5 ton weight restriction - call for evidence

As all residents of Kenn and Kennford will be aware there has been a 7.5 ton weight limit for heavy goods vehicles passing through the main roads of Kenn & Kennford (except for access) for 2 years.

There are many instances of very large lorries ignoring the signage and driving through Kennford or through Kenn.

The Parish Council, Devon and Cornwall Police, and the Management of Costal recycling have joined forces to tackle the problem.

We need your help to gather up to date evidence of this disregard for the regulation that is putting all other road users and pedestrians in danger.

To help identify the vehicle operators, can we ask anyone witnessing a large vehicle driving through the village, PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO, front, or rear of the vehicle and email it to the email address above.

You do not need to do anything else; a photo will give all the information we need to challenge the culprits.

Together we will make the village safer for all.
